Employers need to consider whether the current work practices are still suitable for a pregnant worker and make any necessary adjustments. Some of the differences are quite alarming for instance,recent research produced by BMJ show that pregnant employees working night shifts could be exposed to a 32% higher risk of miscarriage than other employees that do not work night shifts.
